Dr Dan Eddy

Dr Dan Eddy is the author and co-author of 20 books, including King Richard, Larrikins & Legends, Always Striving, The Norm Smith Medallists, Crimmo, The Red & Black Collection, A Football Genius, Brilliance and Brutality, and Just Browny (available 1 March 2025).

In addition, Dan has a Master's degree (Victoria University, 2013) and a PhD (Federation University Australia, 2019), and is heritage consultant for the Essendon Football Club. In the lead-up to Essendon’s 150-year celebrations, in 2022, he was commissioned by the club to write the official 150-year history book, The Red & Black Collection. He has also contributed articles to scholarly publications and for Inside Sport magazine.

Dan is also host and producer of two podcasts: The Red & Black Project, and the Talking Parrots Podcast.
