Dr Dan Eddy is the author and co-author of 18 books, including King Richard: The Story of Dick Reynolds, Essendon Legend; Larrikins & Legends: The Untold Story of Carlton’s Greatest Era; Always Striving: The Key Moments That Have Made the Essendon Football Club; The Norm Smith Medallists; Crimmo: The Peter Crimmins Story; A Football Genius: The Peter Hudson Story; and Brilliance and Brutality: Carlton, Richmond and the Grand Finals of 1969, 1972 & 1973.
In addition, Dan has a Master's degree (Victoria University, 2013) and a PhD (Federation University Australia, 2019), and is heritage consultant for the Essendon Football Club. In the lead-up to Essendon’s 150-year celebrations, in 2022, he was commissioned by the club to write the official 150-year history book, The Red & Black Collection. He has also contributed articles to scholarly publications and for Inside Sport magazine.
Dan is also host and producer of two podcasts: The Red & Black Project, and the Talking Parrots Podcast.
